Was it Weaver? For me Richards was sorta exciting but he has definitely underperformed his expectations from '10 and '11.

The target should be young exciting starters. Taillon, Ventura, Etc.

I was trying to remember the last time the Angels received some high-end pitching prospects in a trade...I've been a fan since around 1995 and I can't recall any trade in that span where they got back someone of that caliber.

I was excited too, after he went 15-3 for LB State and was the Halos 1st round pick (9th overall) in 1989.

Alas, he wasn't able to make it to the bigs to stay and only had MLB experience over 4 seasons, one of which was just a few innings, two other years combined = under 50 innings, and one frustrating year for him in Philadelphia where in 133 innings as a starter he won just 1 game with a 5.00+ ERA.
