According to AP, Obama's approval rating sinks to 37%.  You have to read down the page to learn this though.

Most Americans disapprove of the way Obama is handling his job, the poll suggests, with 53 percent unhappy with his performance and 37 percent approving of it. Congress is scraping rock bottom, with a ghastly approval rating of 5 percent.

At the gym they have TV's on and yesterday some of them have been on CNN, Fox, etc and one of them was showing polls where mother in laws were heavily favored over congress and the POTUS.  They'll come to some kind of agreement at a point then when the elections roll around most of the same idiots will get re-elected.  I think the only way we'll see real change in this country is when it all comes tumbling down.

Last minute deal is inevitable. Too much potential disaster, otherwise. Someone will emerge as the Saviour of the republic, and it will propel them into the national spotlight heading into midterm elections or possibly even the '16 election.
