You can't blame Butcher for this one. Like I said in another thread, Kazmir attributed his success back when he had his best seasons with the Rays to Mike Butcher too.

I for one wouldn't mind seeing him have success in the big leagues again. I can't hate him for disappointing in an Angels' uniform. It would have been nice to light him up today though.

i wish the dude luck. even though be basically bombed with us, he came up big during the playoff stretch when we picked him up.

 

he's not in our division, we arent paying any portion of his contract, and he doesnt pitch for the Dodgers...no reason not to wish him well

I hope he does disproportionately well against the Tigers. Same with Santana.

Kazmir's downfall was all on him. Nobody could have fixed his awful mechanics. Maybe being out of the majors was a good thing for him because it was just sad to watch him the last time he was up.

Nothing the Angels could have done to fix him. If he comes back and dominates (unlikely) then good for him.

Sounds more like low 90s at the moment. Which is still up a fair amount from where he was when the Angels dumped him.

kaz looked good. good movement, fooled the hitters. the guy was an multi-million dollar longshot when he was traded here for a reserve infielder. the angels/Butcher can't be blamed for not waiting around for the guy to totally rebuild himself.

Kazmir was totally apathetic when he was here.  He came to camp out of shape every season.  I definitely don't blame Butcher for that.  It is all on Kazmir and Reagins.

Sure Reagins can.  Makeup is one of the things you scout when looking at a player.

im no reagns apologist but they traded a RESERVE INFIELDER for him and ate alot of contract. reagans knew how to eat contracts thats for sure. however, the risk/reward was big.
