We aren't a good baseball team

Recommended Posts

For some, a season such as 2013 is good enough. A few weeks of solid ball preceded and followed by garbage, clownish baseball. But hey look at the bright siide. You can tune in before one of the losses to watch an Angels Today-type interview of Albert Pujols telling everyone what a wonderful person he is. Gubi will predict we are on the cusp of a string of victories. The hot dogs and beer taste the same, there's great swag to buy, and on the drive home Gubi can tell us how close the team came to winning.

This franchise has a long history of losing interrupted by a relatively short period of winning. 2013 feels a lot like a return to past mediocrity.

Langston had an interesting comment. He said the team works on pickoff throws (pitcher-to-second) a lot during Spring Training, then NEVER once the season starts.

My question is, WHY do they not practice this during the year?

Because the lasagna man doesn't believe in working on fundamentals during the season.

The stupidest thing to do when you have a lot of younger players.
