What concerts/shows have you been to lately?

I hadn't been to a show for years until the last year or so. I have seen Cali Agents with Tha Alkaholiks, Muse, Airborne Toxic Event, Mumford, Jamey Johnson, Trombone Shorty and Truth and Salvage Company. Going to see Avett Brothers and Pearl Jam in the next few months.

All were pretty good. The hip hop show just reminded me that while I like much of the music, I can't stand the people who attend these shows. I will stick to the DJ shows around town for that style of music as those crowds have much less of a gangster element to it.

Last show was in June in Santa Ana at the Constellation Room, A Wilhelm Scream, The Flatliners and Such Gold. Next door at the same time in the connected Observatory was Bone Thugz n Harmony. Got the sweet smell of blunts in the air when I went outside between bands so that's nice.

Last time I was there it was the opposite. The Constellation Room was hotboxed with Del the Funky Homosapien performing and I got a contact high when I walked past it to see the Cold War Kids at The Observatory.

I love the Santa Barbara Bowl. Great venue. Saw Grace Potter and Robert Plant there earlier this summer. Gonna see Gary Clark Jr at the Wiltern tomorrow night after work. Saw him last year at the Troubadour and he was fantstic.

I see a ton of bands, tho. My favorite way to pass a crappy baseball season. Saw Butch Walker last week at the Bootleg, and he was great!
