Seriously? I know you are better than that.

Part of it was in jest, but part of it has some merit.

The great players over the years come up big late in the season.

As young as he is, and this being his first complete 155+ games MLB season, it is more understandable to wear down in September.

But, that won't be a legit reason if he slumps next season in September.

A 22-year old with a .992 OPS and we're finding things to complain about.

Sheesh.

You must be new here. We all knew this day would come. It's absolutely pathetic but not all that surprising. I'm sure AO is the perfect employee every second of every day. Which is hard to do when most of us post here during our work day.

And I already explained my post.   I essentially said I gave him a pass for this season, being his first true full MLB season, since 2012 was for only 5 months up here.   But this (hitting low/mid .200s in September) can't become a recurring theme over the next few seasons.

Actually Trout is hitting .282 in September, but the last 7 days have been abysmal (.136 with 9 SO in 22 AB).

Good point, but it actually goes back to September 7, where he's 11 for his past 58 (.190 BA).   He does have 6 XBHs in that time, but 4 of them came in the 3 game series in Oakland.   Outside of that series, he's been almost non-existant going back to September 7, save for a increased number of BBs.
