That's true, but right now the Angels don't really have a good option for clean up hitter (especially against LHP's). Second half Trumbo, isn't a clean up hitter and Hamilton definitely isn't a cleanup hitter against LHP's (tonight's starter, Tommy Milone is a LHP).

Hamilton should be hitting no higher than 6/7 vs. lefties.

 

What happened to the guy with the .800+ OPS vs. lefties in his career, and even in 2012?

Sub .600 OPS vs. lefties?    What is that?

Victor makes an interesting point about just working on things at this point since the result is meaningless.  It may be that Richards just doesn't have it tonight, but he's thrown a bunch of changeups, a pitch he'd virtually abandoned.  Could just be getting knocked around a bit since he's pitching like it's spring training.

Yeah.  I'm still hoping for wins but not really expecting them.  It's gonna be a long week into the offseason for us, and then a looooooooooong five weeks or so of the postseason.
