But Mark Trumbo, who had played even less experience at 3B(see: none) than Grant Green was given a shot there in games that might have mattered.

Even if this is a "symbolic" start for Shoemaker, I want him to kick ass.  I don't really see him as anything more than a potential swing man, but he sure as hell has worked hard enough for this opportunity.

Or maybe it's just that our hitters are having a bad game, or they kinda suck and are reverting to average, or something. Nah, nevermind, that's not it. It's that we have no advance scouts. That's the only possible thing.

 

Edit: as with most things, this sounds a lot better if you read it in Gilbert Gottfried's voice.

Boshers has looked pretty good since being called up, but I feel like he's going to turn into a pumpkin soon with that walk rate.  Opponents only hitting .150 off him though.
