USC Basketball players involved in brawl

Recommended Posts

“They were saying they were with USC. They were shouting anti-Spokane rhetoric.”

These guys just make friends all over. First, the football team insulted the entire city of El Paso plus their opponents, now this. USC is lucky to have such great ambassadors for their school.

Yeah, I knew that part.  If this is in any way remotely true, they should get expelled.  Some scuttlebutt I heard was they got jumped after some chick got mouthy, and she may not have even been hit by the players but by the ensuing melee.  Regardless, poor judgment, adios degree, adios thoughts of playing at a higher level

We both know none of those players were getting a degree or going to be playing at a higher level :)

NCAA will take away 5 USC Scholarships, and ban them from the NCAA Tournament for 3 years.  USC's probation will also be extended another 10 years.

"They are already on probation.  That's why we came down so hard on them.  We only punish those that have a track record of breaking NCAA Rules."  The NCAA is heard saying.

When asked about Miami or Auburn, the NCAA states "Those schools were never found to break any rules, so we have to make sure the proper channels are followed if any action is taken against them.  But so far, there has only been speculation, and the NCAA does not respond to speculation.  We do not respond to media reports of supposed activity delivered by a journalist that has their own agenda of breaking news to boost their web counts."

Asked about Biogennesis and the Miami "There have been no connection with Biogennesis and the University.  Again, the NCAA does not respond to any media reports of supposed activity delivered by a jounalist that has their own agenda of breaking news to legitimize a newspaper.  The proximity of this health organization and the U of Miami is irrelevent along with any connection of U of Miami former players using this facility.  The NCAA tests athletes, and none of those players ever tested positive.  NCAA attorneys lead by Shapiro have confirmed these tests."

In addition, the NCAA stated "USC had their chance.  Evidence was delivered on OJ Mayo and Reggie Bush by Yahoo Sports, and was thoroughly examined by the NCAA.  Based on thorough interviews with all parties, the conclusion was that USC had broken NCAA rules.  While we won't let anyone see the evidence, it was pretty damming, and no appeal is necessary.  There will also be no appeal to this recent action we are taking against the basketball program as they are on probation.  "
