Great guy too! For those in attendance two years ago, he was at our Spring fan fest '12. He hung out with us from the beginning till the end. He was a great interview too.

Swingman is probably his best role for the Angels. He pitched in tough luck last night. Bees fail to turn a routine double play in first inning, weak infield single, and a blop hit make Shoemaker's line look worse than he pitched.

Weaver is missing a turn?    I'd prefer him pitching the 2nd game against Oakland and Vargas that 3rd game.

That's still almost a full turn missed, which should be enough to rest the arm. 

That way, Wilson, Richards, and Weaver line up to start the last 3 games of the 2013 season in Tejas.

Speaking of Beards, the other Beard after 10.1 innings for the Raviners = 0.87 ERA and 1.06 WHIP.

A definate target in the off-season?   He's hitting 94mph, and has decent/good movement on his pitches.
