It's back to normal after two solid road wins and allowing just 1 goal in those 2 games, as Scrivens makes his Kings' debut last night and shuts out Florida.

but in my defense, going to overtime means the other team gets a point, or that the kings might only get one point where they might have gotten two. of course, if the kings were the ones that tied it up late to force overtime, one point is better than none.

anyone notice Bernier's start in Toronto?.........they're atop the league and he had a shutout this week.

 

yeah, our new guy had one, too -- but GEEZ, I hated to lose Bernier -- even if it was a pretty good trade for us.

I think he has the talent to be elite but...  we have to see now that he is a primary tender what teams will do to find his cracks. How he adjusts will be key to his long term success. But damn he is just so fundamentally strong in every aspect of being a goalie.

Crazy game, up 4-0, tied 4-4, win 7-4.

 

This division is BRUTAL, as only Edmonton is a weak link right now.   Even Calgary is improved.

It is pretty amazing how powerful the Western Conference is compared to the east, especially our division.  I think 5 teams come out of the Pacific (Calgary and Edmonton will be left on the outside looking in).

It's always good to have a top notch goalie in clutch spots.    Quick has the highest save% in shootouts in the NHL.

Lower body injury. Probably foot or ankle with him reportedly wearing a boot. So he could be out until next week or he could be dead. Likely somewhere in between.
