in the kings game last night, apparently nolan went nuts on some guy and injured him pretty severely, enough so that he had to be taken off the ice on a stretcher. anyone know any details? i'm guessing nolan could be looking at a suspension, at least from the surface info i've heard.

No, no suspension. If anything the NHL complimented Nolan on his clean check.

However Paul Bissonnette got a 10 game suspension for coming off the bench after the hit to get after Nolan

We're screwed part II

http://espn.go.com/nhl/preview2013/story/_/id/9719419/stanley-cup-awards-predictions

While only two ESPN "experts" have the Kings winning the Pacific (who can blame them?), six of them have the Kings winning the Cup. Funny how they all have a Californian team winning the Pacific.

I get that repeating in the NHL is hard but Chicago is really good...

The other predictions I can see, but one of Kopitar/Brown/Carter winning the Hart (MVP)?

Kopitar is at/near the top of the class for NHL centers, but he's not quite MVP material.

Brown is a steadying influence and gritty guy, but also not an MVP type of guy.

Carter has few peers as a goal scorer, but again, not MVP material.

As a group though, this is a VERY GOOD hockey team with VERY GOOD coaching that figures to challenge Chicago again for Best in the West.   Chicago is still the favorite, though.
