Gasol needs to go after the season.   Someone will take on his expiring contract.

Find a power forward who needs a fresh start somewhere, has more than one year remaining and that team wants to acquire an expiring contract in exchange, and would defend decently and be a good pairing with Howard.

I beg to differ. It's D Antoni that needs to go not Gasol. Gasol still has game left but D Antoni doesn't know how to use him correctly.

D'Antoni would be a perfect fit for Golden State or Denver. He's not suited for the players the Lakers have. He's almost as bad as Mike Brown when it comes to rotating players in off the bench.

Gotta love Mark Jackson's swagger, and every right to have it after last night.

Maybe Toronto would do it for Gay.

I dont know why the hell Memphis got rid of him.

That Rudy Gay trade is still mind boggling.   He is one of the top wings in the league at both ends of the court.

To their credit though, they're hanging in there after the trade.

As for Gasol/D'Antoni, I do agree that an old Lakers team is an ill fit for D'Antoni.   But, even though one would think that the high post Gasol and low post Howard would be a great fit, it's been anything but that so far in the games that they've appeared in together.

I think Clark will step up his game. D'Antoni does everything he can to not play him, but when push comes to shove and he has to put him in the game, Clark has come through. It seems like Clark play better under the microscope. The last couple of weeks he was starting, he seemed to be just going through the motions.

D'Antoni is so stifled when it comes to rotations off the bench, that I think he'll do his 7 man rotation again. Sacre may get a couple of minutes. Who's left? I doubt Ebanks will get in the game. He hasn't played in two months.

Lakers tanking on national TV -- Clippers look just as dominant in this game as they did in the first match-up of the season - where they whipped the Lakers.

This loss may put the Lakers behind Utah for the final playoff spot.

101-88 Clippers with 3 minutes to go --- it's over.
