Would you take a chance on him? He's been placed on waivers, and personally I'd rather wait until he's a free agent, but would you sign him?

I would. He's not that far removed from some really solid seasons. This year his era and his BB/9 is up, but I think he's still better than some of our current rotation.

I was at the last Padres game he pitched on Friday. He never got out of the 1st inning. Pretty much the same results I saw when he pitched in Colorado a couple weeks ago. Blanton is better.
