Jason Garrett has to go.  The guy has never been good at clock management down the stretch and calls some ridiculous plays late in the game.  Why in the world did they do run plays to the outside?  You run the ball down the middle to eat the clock.  The holding penalty because the RB was running to the outside stopped the clock and gave the Lions a minute with the ball.  If they had ran down the middle or even had Romo take a knee, there would be no hold and the clock would have ran down to about 25 seconds and the Lions would have had to go 80 yards with no timeouts in that time.  Complete and utter bullsh*t.

Thank you, Callahan, Garrett, whoever.  At that time of the game, Lions were without a shot.  I had chalked up the disappointing loss.  Whoever called those runs instead of kneeldowns opened the door.  My Lions are on the other side of decisions like that more often than not.

Oh and Dez?  You are an incredible player.  But there is only one Calvin.

Why isn't it holding because the player was holding an not on the play call?

Didn't see the game, was this one of those phantom NFL late game changing calls?

3rd and long, 'boys ran a sweep.  Tackle held, play didn't gain a first down.  Lions out of timeouts, decline penalty.  Instead of a 40 second runoff to a field goal, clock stops on the penalty.  FG good, but Lions get over a minute instead of 20 seconds or so.

Because he held so the RB could sweep around to the outside.  The hold came as the defensive end tried to break off to get the RB along the sideline.

Thank you Cowboys for keeping the Giants in it. Start the season 0-6, and only 2 games out at the mid-point of the season.

Someone is still gonna find a way to blame Romo for today's loss.

Gotta love Jason Witten for telling Dez to STFU or get out, right on TV. Good for him. That is a leader

The whole Dez rant had to do with him being upset that the Cowboys took their foot off the gas and didn't try to close the game.  And I agree with him completely.  This team doesn't have a killer instinct with Jason Garrett as a head coach.  The guy gets a lead and then he tries to coach keeping the lead rather than trying to expand it.  The decisions he makes, especially at the end of the game are just awful.

Part of this is also Monte Kiffin's fault.  The last few weeks and for most of this game, they played man to man (which this team is built to play) and have had a lot of success.  Once the Cowboys got the lead, they switched to a Cover 2 defense and got torched.  And just like against the Giants in week 1, he keeps playing this prevent defense at the end of games and gives up huge yardage down the stretch.  Eli torched them in week 1 (luckily we still won) and Stafford did it today and ended up winning the game.

The whole coaching plan for this team is just plain awful.

Demarcus Ware is a true leader on this team and always has been.  Since getting injured, he could have easily just put on a sweater and hat and became a spectator on the sidelines like most guys do.  But the last two games he's missed, he's been coaching up these guys and working with them on the sidelines trying to make them better.  He's a class act when it comes to what being a teammate is all about.

Just watched Jason Garrett's press conference.  When asked about what lead to the last touchdown he said "It's something we have to learn from."  Uhh, no, Jason.  You've been the coach of this team for 3 years now.  If you're still in learning mode when it comes to running down a clock at the end of the game, then I don't know what to say.  By the way, this is a CONSTANT problem with Jason Garrett.  His clock management has always been his biggest issue and what he gets the most flack about.  But to him, it's still a learning experience apparently.

Some interesting things about this defense.

They are ranked the worst defense in the NFL this year and are on track to go down as the worst defense in NFL History.

They are the first defense in history to allow four 400 yard passers in one season. We're only half way through this season and we still haven't faced Rodgers and Brees. We still face Cutler and Eli which could do the same. We're talking a possible 400 yard passer in half the games they played. That is awful.

Calvin Johnson was 8 yards receiving from breaking the NFL record for receiving yards in a game.

The franchise record for most yards given up in a season is 3900 yards. This year the Cowboys are on pace to go e up 5400.

Matthew Staffords 488 yards passing is the most a Cowboys defense has given up in over 50 years
