Dudes been swinging various clubs since a toddler. He just isn't putting consistent holes together......there is always one aspect he chokes at. He's also not nailing his long putts.

Meh. Pressure after signing a big contract. Tiger switched back to titlist clubs after hating his first set of Nike Irons.

Agree with the pressure.

 

More media attention, more sponsors, that huge Nike deal, being #1 to start the year.

 

At least he manned up and admitted the issue. Props to him on that.

I think the biggestissue is Rory's immaturity.  His explosion onto the US tour, his rise and media are not something easily accepted.  Also, I hear he likes the young ladies.  It may be too much for him at this point.

 

Like Brandon said, major props for stepping up to the bad decision.

Good point, Bruce.  Tiger was young but he had his Father as a really positive influence in his life.  You don't hear those stories about Rory.

 

I think Golf.com ran an article about Rory being on the outs with his girlfriend.  Who knows if it is true and also pretty embarrassing for Golf.com to be doing a gossip column like that IMO.

Tiger rolling -4 on his round and -10 overall through 8 in solo first.

 

Mickeltits in second right now at -9.  Hopefully it isn't Tiger-Phil tomorrow, Tiger never seems to play well when partnered with Phil.

Big names all around killing it. Stricker has laft some putt out there, but still in the mix.

 

Tiger looks damn impressive and in a groove. Straight drives and nailing his approach shots.

Now he has 23 birdies in the tournament and is now 18 under and has a 6 stroke lead.

Tiger is just rolling, crazy.  Considering he played so poorly the last couple weeks.

I'm looking forward to the final round. Curious to see if he gives any strokes back today. His driver seemed to not be as reliable yesterday as it had been the first two rounds. Didn't make much difference though.
