Although I think we will do better next season, it will probably not be enough to win the division.

 

I do think 2014 will be a transition year where are younger prospects develop and we retool the lineup to better optimize our offense, pitching, and defense.

 

2015 is a more likely target for winning in my opinion.

 

What prospects? And what do you mean by "retool" our lineup?

Above all else, the starters MUST go deeper into games.   Cumulatively, they need to total some 1050 innings (210 average for each 5 man rotation spot).   That is about 6.5 innings per start on average.    That way, the relievers aren't overworked, which may partially explain the Arson Squad like implosion recently (overuse?).

I voted a hopeful yes, but i don't see how it would be possible unless pujols and Hamilton matched their career stats. If they make smart moves maybe by 2015 they could be a playoff team.
