Deadline over.. Bring on the suspensions..

If ever a guy deserves to be banned its Arod.  He's all about himself and has no qualms dragging others down to try to cover his mess.   The fact that has yet to admit wrongdoing while arguing he should only get 50 games like the others is pathetic.

Imagine what George would be saying if he were alive.

Actually, he's arguing he should get ZERO games since MLB doesn't have a failed test. He said he will sue if  MLB suspend him for even for 1 game.

Man, the ESPN article on that story has so much more information.   MLB's stance is really pretty awesome.  They don't want to stop with just the drug BS, they are willing to drop the confidentiality of everything including his medical records and his treatments by his doctors, including those done by Victor Conte, of Balco fame...   Seems MLB is willing to show the information as it relates to tests done before MLB had a ban in place.   If he was one of those players that flunked in 2003 before testing became a thing, it sort of destroys their entire argument.  Tacopina was clearly trying to make it seem as if Arod was being singled out and MLB was being extremely heavy handed based on the lack of failed results or priors...   Baseball's willingness to point out everything the scumbag has done to reinforce how his douchebaggery wasn't simply limited to violations of the current drug policy seems like a masterful counter.

Alex Rodriguez has standing 150-game suspension offer from MLB, per report

The source, who is identified only as a "person close to Rodriguez," also said that A-Rod rejected a deal from the league days before his 211-game ban was handed out that would have limited his time on the sidelines to 100 games. MLB Vice President Rob Manfred has denied both of the source's claims, and Rodriguez won't talk about it.
