As of now, 2B Howie Kendrick's agent has not been contacted by #Angels regarding any deal or waiving of no-trade clause.

I bet in the next hour and a half we hear "Multiple teams still in on Kendrick." Followed by "Kendrick now off the table as no match can be found" and on and on

Obviously we don't know for sure what the Angels want vs. what they're being offered, and how realistic their expectations are, but there's no sense in settling at this point.

 

Still 2 years left on the contract, so might as well hold off until the offseason if you can't get what you're looking for now.

the only reason would be simply bad deals, otherwise get rid of them like Callaspo.

If they can't find a quality starting pitcher for Kendrick then you don't make a deal right now.  You don't make trades just to make them especially if the team wants to compete next year.

Well this was disappointing.

 

 

Eh, it's fine. They want to make sure they can get the best possible return. Should have more suitors and have MORE TIME in the offseason to really maximize their return. I like this approach. They dangled him out there at the deadline hoping some team was desperate enough to blow them away with an offer they couldn't refuse....didn't happen, so now they just hold onto him and try again in the offseason

Teams are not going to be trading a quality starting pitcher for Kendrick right now if they are making a playoff run. Of course the Angels are not going to find "the right match" if that's what they expect in return.

No one is gonna trade young SP after seeing how Arizona raped the angels a few years ago for 3 young SP's for an old Dan Haren.   

 

Angels will hold on to Kendrick because there are no GM's as stupid as Reagins out there in baseball for Dipoto to take advantage of.

If the Angels still have delusions of being able to compete next year they are well and truly screwed at least through 2018.
