Kendrick & Aybar

Yeah, I know. I just hope the Angels don't blow up the team.

The problem is that, if they do, the pieces who need to go will be the ones left behind due to contracts. The possibility of seeing Hamilton and Pujols out there with a bunch of kids and Trout marking time until his free agent year are not appealing to me.

@Ken_Rosenthal: Source confirms #Angels willing to listen on Kendrick, Aybar, others, as first reported by @jeffpassan. Goal is to upgrade starting pitching

@Ken_Rosenthal: For Kendrick or Aybar, #Angels would seek a starter under multi-year control. Some teams want major leaguers for such pitchers, source says.

Howie has limited no trade protection. 12 teams he cant be traded to. I would be okay with trading him considering he is due about 10m per each of next two years if we get a good enough return. Hopefully we can wait for him to pick up 3 more hits to get to 1000 as an angel.

Looking forward to seeing what Segura can do once they trade Aybar.

...oh, wait...

Segura in June:  .277/.296/.429

In July: .273/.316/.307,   yes a .307 slugging.

Since the all star break:  .216/.216/.243

In a hitter's park, in a league with weak pitching.    He's not as good as you think he is.

JD has just had some really bad luck this year.

he bet some pitching longshots that didn't come in. when all the the trade propoals, bitching and moaning subside we need to get some pitching.

a good sign was the angels draft that was mostly pitchers.
