There's an app called Watch Duty that's awesome.  Updated constantly, with maps, links to resources, live shots, etc., and can send alerts with breaking news  You can find it in the app store, but here's a link to the website:

https://www.watchduty.org/

That's what we monitor during the summer.  They are impressively efficient with information from the beginning to the end.

There is a certain member here that doesn’t want me to say anything but I’m going to anyway.

Said member has been able to feed some 2000 or so firefighters hard at work out there saving lives and homes with In-N-Out meals.

I’m sure retired LA county firemen @PattyD22 appreciates the hell out of that as I’m sure he knows so many out there right now with little to no resources to work with and up against some crazy winds.

Thank you. 🙏🏻

Chuck, make no mistake: everyone in So Cal has been affected. It's only to what degree.

And this is just the beginning. What happens after the fires will dete mine California's fate for at least a century. I am not lying when I say that this will be the world's first trillion dollar natural and man made disaster (yes, they caught an arsonist).

This will affect all of America and all financial markets. What comes next could dictate global markets for decades with all the future litigation that will arise. Add in future policy, and this will be massive.

I also want to point out that I have a friend who is as close to me to me as a brother, who saved America at least a hundred billion dollars by being the last one his block backing up data for his agency. He then went to his work where he remained saving his toys and data to further save America money. I have offered to let him store one set here as an extra source of backup and safety.

He does not want to be known for what he does, or how he does it, as he would be very targeted. But, this is what makes America great--everyday Americans like Starling and my friend, and great companies stepping up, without having to be asked. We need more people and businesses doing that and less people getting in the way.

You should get this guy a lil trophy.  Like the ones you get if you win fantasy football.  I’d be willing to contribute.

I can't tell if this is meant for sarcasm or not, but I can guarantee that there is an extr mely high chance that he has saved just about every American's life on at least 3 occasions.

Unlike George Souros, my friend deserves a presidential Medal of Freedom. Just like so many people right now, or my other close friend who is the horse hauling business, who is pulling all kinds of animals to safety, there are a lot of great Americans stepping up in these fires.

Damn! I'm not even near the fires but we've been blacked out for almost 72 hours. Last night someone broke into my car and stole my work laptop and random stuff of my daughters.

I told the cops they better hurry, the laptop has information on every California governmental agency on it, including theirs lol. tick tock...

What does George Soros have to do with this? There’s a political discussion about the fires happening in the Spin Forum.

He's saved my life 3 times? How do I thank him and how much can I donate to his inauguration?

Look, David, when this guy starts handing out free cheeseburgers we will listen to his story.

Yes, that was sarcasm.

You guys really can't help yourselves.

The funny thing is, yesterday a lot of right-wingers were criticizing Crowley for being a "DEI hire," etc.  Now that she's criticizing the mayor, they're jumping on her side.  So dumb.

Anyway, meanwhile, the Angels tweeted their support for the victims of the fires, so they're doing their part...!
