Will the Angels ever go over .500 this season?

Yes, I'm happy we have beaten the A's twice in a row, but we have seen this script before. Angels get close to 500 and then go on a losing streak dropping them back in the pack. It seems the 500 mark is the Angels kryptonic. Lets hope they can break on through this mental blockage.

Well, with Colon on the mound tomorrow and Williams/Richards sharing the load you can toss that one up as a loss. 4 games back heading into the Minnesota series. Even if we sweep that we end up 1 game back, and have another 4 game series at Oakland and then Texas. Looks like we won't be .500 for awhile.

I certainly hope they get over .500 soon. They have been teasing us with the win streaks only to follow it with losing streaks.

 

And if/when they get there will they be able to build on that?

Not with Williams and Blanton in the rotation. Hanson and Vargas need to come back and stay in the rotation and pitch effectively. Otherwise, no way. It's too difficult to maintain winning streaks when two out of every five days you're fighting out of a 5-0 hole.
