Not sure how you weigh a couple of good postseason games vs an awful season.....somebody will jump though.....🤷‍♂️

1st season coming back from TJ surgery is the throw away season. When he came back the Doggs tinkered with his mechanics to take stress of the elbow and he strained his hip. Last night's start he said he felt the Best this season. Watching him pitch I agree last night's start he was in complete control. I liked his command and changing of eye levels last night he had 96mph left in the tank a few times as well.

When I look at Pitchers I usually tend to look at what they do against the better teams in the league start & stat wise. Yankees pay for payroll. That's a fair enough barometer! Braves have a lot of talent. Padres had a very good year.

Playoffs 3 starts 14 innings 3.86 ERA 11 ks 5 BB's

Last few starts of the season September. Halos, Braves & Padres he threw well. September #'s were better after he came back from the Hip injury. 4.44 ERA 1 k under per inning.

Compared to 6.00 ERA in prior first starts.

I believe he would be a good pickup to anchor our young rotation! As he will be a free agent and it hurts the Doggs also...

4 yr deal not sure about $$$.

Pivetta is good and consistent enough he’s probably in line for a 2/$32M at a minimum, and probably more along a 3/$45M or a little more even. Sort of the Lugo, Wacha, Anderson, Lynn, Gibson tier of contracts.

Conforto might explore a one-year just so he has an opportunity to re-enter the market if he has a good year, but hitting market is so thin I could see him getting another 2-year deal too, probably around $15M AAV. The more I think about it, the more I’m happy with him being out OF addition. He could be really solid value and we need some left-handed offense.

Dejong is definitely a one year deal.

The comps I was thinking of for those guys were:

Conforto— Haniger (3/$43.5M)

Pivetta— Anderson (3/$39M), Eflin (3/$40M)

DeJong— Kiner-Falefa (2/$15M)

I'm pretty sure the Dodgers are locking up Bueler early. If they don't then it's a warning flag there is an outlying physical issue with him returning to form and the Angels need to steer clear.

I think in general it seems like the Dodgers have no problem burning up arms, so anyone coming from that org I would be hesitant on.

I’d like Flaherty but have a strong feeling he has some arm troubles in next 2-3 years, and he wasn’t even over there long. They apparently had injury concerns when acquiring him so that right there gives me pause.

He’s looking like a QO guy for the Dodgers if they don’t sign him up to return

They need arms because Ohtani is going to need the 6 man rotation to ease into pitching. Kershaw is pretty much done so they have to secure that rotation spot as well.

Yet another Trout to Philly rumor. More dreaming from the Philly perspective.

he mentions how great it would be for trout to be on his favorite team when he was growing up, then goes on to list reasons why it would be a bad idea to trade for him. it's an odd article.

MLB Trade Rumors just posted their top 35 trade candidates of this offseason.  No Angels on the list:

Rooker would be a very nice addition. Although not willing to decimate the already decimated farm to get him lol.
