If they can avoid Iwakuma in some way it would be a big break.

He pitches much better against the Angels in Seattle.

Managers are stupid to skip their star pitchers so that they can pitch in a more or less irrelevant exhibiton.

 

 

Agreed.  Scioscia wouldn't let Weaver miss a start to save him for a possible appearance in the ASG.

 

Ron Washington is going a step further and placing Yu Darvish to the DL to deal with what would normally be day-to-day soreness. Because of the all star break going on the 15 day DL will only cause Darvish to miss one start, and by being on the DL he can't possible participate in the ASG.

The beginning of the week they should have..he could have 2 weeks to rest for the long haul with games vs cubs and m's...he wasnt hitting and we were still winning...if he does it again this series then more power to him.
