A few thoughts about last night's game

I just now saw the highlights on MLB network so bear with me here.

 

 - Pujols "stealing" 3B off of Lackey was nice.  He should have been out but he made it.  Nice play.  Chowdswin.com has to have a three-page thread going about that one.

 

 - Conger's HR was reminiscent of something Trumbo would hit.  The sound when the bat hit the ball...wow.  No doubt about it.

 

 - Nice to see the game end on a Boston strike, or what was usually an Angels ball.

A couple pitches before that I had thought it was funny how they ignored Pujols on 1B even when he was way off the bag.  He really surprised them with that heads up play.

 

And I would add that HR by Trout was impressive, for him to get the barrel on that thing and get it out wow.  We're spoiled by his greatness, but plays like that keep it in perspective.

How about the fact that all of Hamilton's ABs were very good?

At the very least, he should have had two walks and a double.
