I'm fairly certain even the most optimistic here assume it will end at some point. It's just not following it poorly as Glen stated.

So, just so I am clear on this, we are complaining about the win streak ending even though it hasn't ended yet? Oh and I agree that when it ends, no matter how it ends people will bitch. What we really need to see is after it ends, we continue to play good ball. Last night we won a game where we didn't really have a solid hit all night long. We just happened to bunch a bunch of bloop singles together. This was a game we would have absolutely lost a month ago.

But to call me a superfan for stating that people will complain when the streak ends, when if you've spent any time at all on this board you know it's true is crap. It's the nature of this and every other message board. Also read the op, how in the world will we have our answer after tonight?

Gotta be honest, even during the 8 game streak I was not impressed. 

 

Knew it was a fluke and this team would go right on back to sucking. 

 

Until this team hits .500 there's really nothing they do that could excite me, because their good performances are all just so short term.

We have had two significant winning streaks this season. The first was followed by a significant losing streak. This one, we shall see.
