Singlehandedly elevated, huh? In 2000, the year before Pujols' rookie year, the Cards played the Mets in the NLCS. In 2012, the year after Albert left, the Cards played the Giants in the NLCS

The Cardinals don't miss him. They got the best years out of him and we've got what's left. I'm looking forward to watching Albert swing for the fences for three games so he can show all of St Louis how wrong they were for not giving him $240 million. They obviously didn't need a DH.
