Dexter is BACK for the final season

Now this was an episode. Damn! Starting to really heat up. Of course, Deb is sticking her nose where it doesn't belong.

They didn't have the balls to have the victim be Harrison or Angels sister.  It's the final season for gawds sake.  Make me give a sh!t.  So they offed a completely expendable character.  Could've been soooo much more.

That's a good point. Rita's death was shocking, and so was LaGuerta's. This season, the writers have been playing it safe.

You have to remember that both Rita and LaGuerta both met their demise in the final episode of the season.  There are still a few more episodes to go.

Well, well, well . . . A pretty bizarre dinner party tonight.

One of Dexter's potential entanglements may have been solved tonight, and it was pretty shocking what happened. I think it's obvious who the real brain surgeon killer is now.

yeah, i wasn't a fan either. 

 

the kid, deb, hannah, and the shrink all know what dexter does. that's an awful lot of loose ends.

Maybe but she'd have to be physically quite strong, or have a strong assistant to be moving bodies around.  The brain surgeon kills in one location, drains the body, then moves to another location to do the "surgery."

I thought the show was indicating that Vogel was the Brain Surgeon, but the previews for next week's episode make it look like she's not.

 

Either way, I'm glad the Brain Surgeon storyline isn't over. I love a good ol' whodunit.

This is shaping up to be a very good season.  Looking forward to next week.

It's pretty clear that Oliver is the brain surgeon, but I'm not sure what his link to Vogel is. He might be her son.

Quinn is the brain guy.

Oliver is the guy Cassie was dating. I didn't think much of him until he told the police that he hadn't seen Zach.

Here's a theory.  There are two killers, the bludgeoner and the brain surgeon.

 

Quinn, who is obsessed with Zach, bludgeoned Cassie and planted Zach's blood under her fingernails.  Quinn even went to Dexter and said, "don't these two murders look the same" and "if you find Zach's DNA at the scene let me know."

 

The brain surgeon is somebody else.

Oliver killed Cassie and tried to frame Zach (for reasons unknown). I'm pretty sure he's Vogel's son.

I highly doubt Quinn killed Cassie.

Called it, although I have to give credit to skin__flute for guessing the connection to Vogel. I assumed it was just another one of her patient.

well, that was quite the revelation last night. the fact that vogel is lying to dexter about her son will come back to haunt her.

 

as dexter was telling the doc about his plans to take harrison and hannah and leave the country, my first thought was "you shouldn't tell anyone, because someone is going to try and screw that up for you." 

 

ultimately i think dexter will take care of both vogel and oliver. i have my doubts as to whether or not he and hannah will actually leave miami together. not sure yet where deb fits into all of this, either.
