Agreed. I personally am keeping my hatred limited to players who are still being paid by the Angels (f'n Vernon) or former Angels prospects who were dealt away in ridiculous trades (f'n Segura / Hellweg / Skaggs / Corbin / Chatwood)

Jeff Mathis is not much of a hitter, but the dude is really, really tough.  Every time he gets discussed I think about the time early in his minor league career where he took a fast ball to his face, shattering quite a few bones.  After reading that story, I have nothing but respect for someone who can play the game after that incident.  That would have been a career ending injury for many.  Wish I could find the link, maybe someone here has it.

BTW, the grand slam was also special in that it was the 3,000th in Marlins club history.  And the Marlins ended June 15-10 after being 14-41 the first two months.  A nice story!
