It's kind of a letdown that he's not a SP, because we selected him first. 

(Maybe he still will he down the road).

 

But if the worst ee get between him, Silseth etc (out of these recent pitcher heavy drafts), finally having a decent pen will be a nice shot in the arm

I am shocked at DFA of Moronta.

The logical move, righty Bachman replaces righty Moronta.

Next move, assuming no improvement, replace lefty Loup with lefty Ingram.

The 40 man move of Warren to 60 Day DL only makes sense if they option a reliever to AAA. The relievers most likely to go down were Moronta and Loup and Davidson… none of which Have options. 

 

Earlier in this thread, I assumed they would Move Warren, because I thought Moronta had options, but he doesn't apparently have any.

Looks like it could be Eric Torres, instead of Ingram, who would replace Loup if DFA’d.

Torres strikes out a lot of batters, 25 in 14 innings so far in 2023, and was just promoted from AA to AAA.  The Southern League’s new ball seemed to affect his control like with others, 15 BBs.
