I understand why Scioscia has it this way is so there isn't a block of 6 consecutive right handed batters. That said, would have been better to put Trout at leadoff rather than give Aybar the most at bats.

Aybar's been pretty hot (9 for his last 23), but no matter how well he's hitting, his horrible plate approach just isn't suited for leadoff.  Not sure why Scioscia keeps hammering away at that square peg.

Bourjos was effing killing it in the lead off spot, no reason to put him at number 9 just cause he likes handys from Aybar. Its pretty clear Aybar does not belong in the 1 hole.
