The Angels are finding ways to win

Something they haven't done all season for the most part, as they would more times than not find ways to lose.

Good to see.

BTW, Jerome didn't have his best stuff tonight but he grinded. When Blanton and Hanson don't have their best stuff or command they get destroyed.

Although JW didn't have his best stuff going tonight, he still looked very good. His fastball had pretty good movement. He just hit a wall at the end of the 5th. But overall, you really can't ask/expect him to go 7+IP every outing. Tonight was yet another reason why he needs to stay in the rotation. He put the team in the position to win.

Absolutely, Nick.

depends on where the team is at in a month.  If they still have a shot, then williams should stay.  If not, Hanson needs to get some starts to prove that he can or can not perform.  Don't want him doing the same thing in the rotation next year.  I think he's pretty much done personally.

It is nice to see them winning games they should as well as a few that are a coin flip.

They may not be the best team in baseball, but they are certainly talented enough to have a better record than they do.  The little stuff has been the difference so far.  They've been doing it lately but weren't before.

He was rescued several times by boneheaded baserunning by the Astros. His numbers could have ended up looking a lot worse if not for that, IMO. Those other pitchers could have avoided some big innings if they had that fortune. Conger had some excellent throws.
