22. Los Angeles Angels

The weather is nice in Orange County, but there are no bars and it’s not overly close to many local Angels fans. Parking is plentiful and tailgating is allowed with one major caveat – no alcohol. (Last year: 25th)

"Parking is plentiful"

.... might have something to do with attendance the past several years...

No bars? There's a shit ton of breweries right next to the stadium.

Although I do agree that the stadium lacks a lot

There's a ton that could be done there.... I think a big problem though is the product.... as in, if the Angels continue to scuffle, is the area enough to support multiple bars?....

I know Anaheim is developing a huge entertainment area behind the pond... that could be good or bad for the area around Angel stadium.

How are the dodgers not last? Shitty parking, Shitty fans, multiple homicides....

And new parking prices:

$27 when purchased ahead of time online

$30 at the gate on game day

$50 for preferred parking when purchased ahead of time online

Lots B, D, F, G, H, J, K, L, M, N, and P

$60 for preferred parking when purchased at the gate

Prepaid parking is available until 3 hours before the scheduled first pitch. Parking gates open 2.5 hours before game time during the regular season. Stadium gates open 2 hours before game time. This may vary based on series and time of the season.

@GrittyVeterans How rich do you need to be to pay for parking at Dodger Stadium?

Even if the team is good, 80 plus evenings is not enough to keep an establishment afloat especially when many of those evenings is a Mon-Wed night where these establishments would lack traffic anyways. The bigger problem is the location and the lack of people who live close enough to the area to utilize such establishments on non-event evenings to justify the cost of the lease. The area is just not viewed as a "destination" area for those in surrounding communities.

Maybe.

But all the new build apartments along Katella should help... that area is starting to build up a bunch.

I think Anaheim is still intending to build up the area south of Katella, west of St College.

Whole area is going to look different in a decade.

When Pujols' personal services contract is up.
