Richards gave up 5 runs and the Halos scored 5. The bullpen should get some blame too.

 

How do you blame a bullpen that was asked to start nearly a complete game? They gave up fewer runs over 8-1/3 than Richards getting 2 outs. I think they did fine under the circumstances.

I said SOME of the blame. I agree that most od them went out and did their job. LeBlanc did not.

That's your translation? I never said the bullpen sucked and lost that game. Richards let the team down and needed an A+ pitching performance to bail him out. Don't get me wrong, that loss was on Richards but Le Blanc did well in making sure the Halos didn't keep momentum when they got some.

Look at it this way, if they started LeBlanc instead of Richards, and he gets two more outs without any more runs scoring, the Angels win.

Like I said in the other thread, richards ahit the bed. Its more fluke than norm.

Get rid of his train wreck, and we outscored them. Against pomeranz whos been lights out so far.
