Angels acquire Hunter Renfroe from the Brewers for Janson Junk, Elvis Peguero, and Adam Seminaris

Fangraphs has already updated the payroll page to reflect this, and our current team payroll is estimated to be around 191mil and luxury tax estimate around 206mil.

Search for guys with 5 years of service time and playing for a team that is looking to unload salary (or not contend at least), and that is likely your answer

Don’t forget that they’ve also traded Seminaris, Junk, Peguero, Stallings, Bradish, Hidalgo, Peek, Brnovich, Pinto and probably a few others in there too.

Drafting 20 pitchers doesn’t seem so crazy now. Great currency.

Good pickup. Between Renfroe and Urshela, that adds 4-5 wins to last season replacing zero win (or worse) players/injury subs. 

So, where now? Is that it? I wouldn't be devastated if this was it, but I hope we can still bring in a real shortstop to shift Fletcher/Rengifo to a utility role (still playing most days somewhere or other), especially if they somehow can afford one of the top four. Not sure where we are at catcher: Are O'Hoppe or Thaiss ready to platoon with Stassi? If not, a backup catcher won't cost much. Would love to bring in another solid/high end starter or closers, but I'm assuming Minasian is nearing the limits of his budget. Either way, a solid floor-raising offseason. Anything after this is for the ceiling.

Maybe.  He would basically come with no cost attached, I imagine.  AZ would probably absorb some of his contract, too.

I think we'll see some kind of MI acquired.  @Stradling mentioned Nick Ahmed, who would seem to fit with Minasian's strategy of acquiring guys 1 year away from free agency.  Amed Rosario with the Guardians would fit that too, although it has been pointed out they probably won't trade him.

I feel like we'll sign some backup catcher.  Thaiss will be given a shot but he will probably be DFA'd since he can't be optioned.  

I think we'll see a few minor moves with relieves, but no big names.

I'd personally also like to see another OF acquired - a backup OF that will enable us to keep both Moniak and Adell in AAA.  I would prefer to think of them as guys we will call up if/when injuries occur, as opposed to starting the season with either of them on the roster.
