Jose Conseco never officially played for the Angels. He was signed as a free agent in 2001 but was released before the end of Spring Training. Since players don't get paid during Spring training he never drew a paycheck.

Gaetti wasn't washed up. His stats in KC and STL after he was released prove that. He just never wanted to be here, and only signed because they offered him the most money. Same with Pujols & Rendon.
