Will this be an offseason of trades?

The Angels have made very few significant trades in terms of buying win-now players ever since Eppler made the big deal for Simmons shortly after being hired, but does anyone else think this might be our primary way of acquiring our offseason additions this year?  With what might be less money to spend, us now having real depth in the farm system, and an urgency to win now with Ohtani expiring after the season, I think this might be the year we finally dip into our assets to pull off some major deals.  Plus, if Perry pulls off savvy trades that make a big impact on the team, it probably makes new ownership more inclined to keep him around.

I think Perry will be more open to it than he has been the prior two offseasons, now that he has a better feel for the organization’s system and the pressure with Ohtani’s pending free agency and new ownership.

But it’s really hard to make trades in this league because everyone views players so similarly.
