You have to give credit to Ward for finishing up strong. He fought back from that mid season slump and has regained his form.

Interesting how he, Rengifo, Trout and Ohtani are within a couple of points of each other for leading the team in batting average. 

This team is such an enigma. I still say Rendon's injury was the key turning point. Without him the team lost structure in the batting order. And injuries to Fletcher, Trout and Walsh turned the lineup into a Jekyll and Hyde lopsided mess. 

Overall the pitching has quietly improved and has a good foundation.

I feel cautiously optimistic that a healthy regular lineup (including Ohtani) , some changes and the right manager can possibly put together a respectable 2023.
