So I'm visiting some friends for dinner tonight, and they have a 9-year old boy who's obsessed with baseball and the Angels.

We're talking about Pujols and I happen to mention he has eight years left on his contract after this season. The kid says,

"Yeah, but he doesn't have eight years left on HIM!"

That lineup is awful.   Have you guys looked at what Torii has done the last two months after his ridiculously hot start?   Kendrys had a great May but has been really bad the other two months of the season.  Russell Martin is roughly equal to our current catching battery offensively.  Chavez has looked great so far, but I don't think he's found the fountain of youth and will probably come back to earth given he's barely been able to stay on the field the last few years.

Best thing about that lineup is the flexibility in being able to make moves in the future.

Worst thing about the team's current situation is that there really isn't much room to do anything to improve the team other than taking some gambles and hoping for a miracle.

It's a much better and cheaper lineup than what we have today. Wow the potential to make additions would have been epic.
