How many managers suddenly saw a 4 year slide like this one, who got that same team back to post-season play eventually?

Dodgers with a payroll of 220 million should be better than 10 games under .500 which is where the Angels are but a payroll of 127 million.

It is because we blew a five run lead and made another "rhymes with dock" tease rally fail leading to another one run loss and it proves that not only are we having trouble at home, we can't even beat national league teams anymore.

We didn't blow a five run lead only a three run lead but the results were still the same.

And did the Raviners come off a season where they were 16 games over .500?

Blanton actually pitches a good game only to have two of the better relievers on the team choke it away.  Not a good recipe for success.  Tough series.

 

Having seen the Buccos a lot this year...the one saving grace is they are one of the better teams in baseball.  Their pitching is outstanding.

The Dodgers should be embarrassed as well. Look it has been since 1988 that they last appeared in a World Series. I believe Reagan was still president.

From what I just read, Scioscia wasn't referring to Jepsen and Frieri when saying they did good jobs today. He was referring to the Pirate hitters.

The Pirates came into the series as one of the worst hitting teams in baseball. Instead of gushing over their offense, Scioscia should tell the truth, and say our pitching stinks.

 

I am so tired of his eagerness, night after night, to heap praise on the opposing team. There seems to be no accountability for our horrible play this season. Where's the anger? There is none.
