Indeed. His approach at the plate is so bad—he’d be in SLC if it weren’t for his stellar defense. But, at some point they’re going to have send him down.

what's the point of sending him down? it's not like the club is right in the thick of anything and there are no better options to replace him. let him go through his growing pains and sink or swim.

I am still worried that the power may never arrive.  He’s a big dude and that made him physically “projectable” as a prospect but at some point it has to become real. . . and that just hasn’t happened yet.

I said for awhile that maybe it might be best to trade Marsh for pitching.

Obviously they didn’t trade him so I very much want to be wrong.  I hope he becomes a great player.  But I still don’t see it.

That and I think he will make adjustments at some point. If he learns to make them then he will be fine moving forward into next season

That is the true test of a good player—making adjustments. He’s still young, we’ll see.

Marsh and Velazquez are in the lineup everyday, strike out in almost half of their plate appearances and are hitting .135 and .100 for the month of June.
