Gameday Thread (6/20/22): Royals @ Angels - Syndergaard on the mound

Let’s keep it going and win a few series and get back in the thick of things.

On paper, this game shouldn’t even be close.  KC’s Bubic is 0-4 with an 8.36 ERA and a WHIP of 1.89.  He has 24 K’s and 18 walks.  If the Angels are patient, they should win easily.

But…..this is exactly the kind of “trap” game the Angels have slept through.  Seen it before.  The betting lines have the Angels as big favorites in this game.

When you look at what the Angels did in Seattle, Trout had a great series.  Ward had a good game.  The offense overall besides Trout and maybe Ward, was bad.  Awful comes to mind.  The pitching was good.

I'm not saying the Angels will lose, I’d never say that.  I’m just saying it wouldn’t shock me if they did or if the game was close late, and KC is brutal.

Yep, Ohtani went 0-13 to end the series, although he hit three balls to the warning track/wall.
