Cinemax has some surprisingly good shows

i wasn't familiar with the channel's original programming but i found out about a couple of shows recently. my favorite is probably banshee which is about a thief recently released from prison who assumes the role of sheriff in a small pennsylvania town. it has all the violence and sex you would expect from a cinemax show but the writing is stellar.

I saw a few episodes of it.  It was pretty interesting.  Not enough to make me want to get Cinemax.  But if it was on during a free preview weekend, worth watching.
