Gameday Thread: Angels vs. Mariners 6/19 - Hamilton dropped to 7th

Recommended Posts

This isn't a big surprise.  We're facing a lefty, Joe Saunders.  I predict Josh will be back in the 2-hole tomorrow when we face the righty, Felix.

I doubt it. He'll probably be hitting higher in the order (5th or 6th), but I don't think he'll be hitting 2nd again for awhile. It's not like he's hitting we'll against RHP's.

He shouldn't even be in the lineup at all. But I guess this is a start.

Yeah cool, let's let someone who gets paid $25M per year to play baseball sit on the bench and drink milk shakes.  I'd run him out there in practice and games until he couldn't stand any longer, or broke his body trying.

..and hurt the team while doing so?

It's matter of putting the best team out there that has the best chance of winning the game.

If you care more about how Hamilton bounces back rather than winning than they have given up on the season.

What is best for the team is to have Hamilton return to his average play.  That will never happen with him on the bench.  It may not happen with him playing, but it will never happen with him on the bench.  LIke it or not, Hamilton HAS to play.
