With about a week to go before the Angels open minor league camp March 6, the club announced its full minor league staff for the 2022 season.

Lou Marson will return to manage at Triple-A Salt Lake, and two other managers have been promoted. Andy Schatzley moves from High-A to Double-A Rocket City, and Jack Howell moves from Low-A to High-A Tri-Cities. Ever Magallanes, who is new to the organization, will manage Low-A Inland Empire.

The Salt Lake staff also includes pitching coach Jairo Cuevas, hitting coach Brian Betancourth and coach Ray Olmedo. At Rocket City, Michael Wuertz is the pitching coach, Kenny Hook is the hitting coach and Dann Bilardello is the coach. At Tri-Cities, Doug Henry is the pitching coach, Brian Rupp is the hitting coach and Jack Santora is the coach. Inland Empire’s staff includes pitching coach Bo Martino, hitting coach Ryan Sebra and coach Trevor Nyp.

The Angels will also have short-season teams in the Arizona Complex League and the Dominican Summer League.

Among the notable additions to the minor league staff are former big leaguers Chris Carpenter and Rod Barajas. Carpenter, who had worked with the St. Louis Cardinals, is the Angels pitching consultant. Barajas, who had been on the minor league and major league staffs with the Padres, is the new catching coordinator.
