I noticed that early on. He threw a fastball in the first inning that on camera  looked pretty good, only 88 MPH. I'm hoping that this is just the result of a lack of baseball activity.

He was 85 before the arm break and pretty much the same after returning.  Guile, offspeed, grit work better when you can hit 90 on the gun.  85-86, not so much.  Haren BP territory.
