What was with the call on the first pitch. I'm just on Gameday, but it was shown as more inside than any ball thrown to Trout. Why expand the strike zone then?

Because it's the Stankees and Mariano Rivera is pitching so he gets the call. 

 

Just like he has his entire career which would not be anywhere near as great if he wasn't with NY.

 

Salt in the wound that Rivera saves a game on his day at our stadium on a K to our $25 Million man. Truly embarrassing all around.
