I agree.  But I am almost surprised some jackass voter didn’t make some stupid statement and not vote for him first with some lame explanation of the pitching part doesn’t count for the MVP award because there is a separate award for pitching. . . Or some other dumb explanation.

Though this was ALMOST Guaranteed going into the All-Star break when he had what 30 Bombs?

1. He had to stay healthy the whole season.

2. He had to put up 120+ innings and 25+ starts

3. He had to finish with 40+ Bombs.
