Carpenter has a reputation as a red assed hothead. Maybe he's here to bring some attitude to the staff

The Angels certainly need that!!!

They really need a Terry Collins / Doug Rader type to raise up that intensity level in the clubhouse.

I highly doubt the pitching mental make up coach is going to be some raving lunatic in the dugout Android even less so in the clubhouse.

A coach with attitude to teach our young guys how to pitch deeper into games.  Good.  This same reason is also why I hope we pursue Max.  We need a stud at the top of our rotation to go with Ohtani.  Maybe two studs.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I have no clue if it's a good pickup or not.

Just like I have no clue if Jose Molinas departure is a good thing or not.

How you people have an opinion on such things I'll never know.

i generally agree, but i think i like people that bring a strong presence of expertise in their field, and i think both carpenter and molina do that. so my answer is, it's good that carpenter is coming and it's bad that molina is going.

This is where I’m at.  Bring in as much talent on and off the field as possible. I have no idea about Molina leaving is bad until we find out who replaces him and why.
