Yeah I don't get the hatred for him. 

 

He can be frustrating but he has a sub 4 ERA and consistently gives the team quality starts and keeps the team in the game.

 

He's not worth his contract but that's not a reason for me to hate him.

For whatever reason, he will be rolling along and suddenly a runner or two get on base, and he nibbles and the inning unravels on him as his pitch count goes sky high.

I will credit him for recovering and throwing just 40+ pitches the last 3 innings. I just don't get that seemingly every game he has an inning like that. Otherwise, he would be having a really good season.
